After dropping their first game to the Vanderhoof Rippers by a score of 2-1, the Lacey A’s bounced back to win the Bob Law Memorial Challenge.
The American squad was bolstered by four local BC players; Tyson Barkman (pictured), Ben Edgington, Darcy Walushka, and Jesse Grieve.
On their way to final, the A’s defeated the Richmond Canadians 4-2 and the Seattle Dirt Dogs 10-2 on Saturday before advancing to the Sunday’s single knockout, where they took care of business with consecutive wins over the Vancouver Lomas 5-3 and the final against the Vanderhoof Rippers 5-2.
Barkman was named top pitcher, while Edgington captured top hitter honors.

Local fans were not disappointed as the home team erupted for a flurry of runs and coasted to a 6-3 victory.
